Peterborough Reads are a key partner in Peterborough Celebrates Reading. They have launched a Facebook page to enable them to continue their campaign work virtually, and to support families in Peterborough whilst schools are closed.
The Facebook page aims to inspire families across the city to read together, and helps parents to support their children’s literacy skills. They particularly work with early years professionals to improve early reading and writing skills, and to ease the transition between primary and secondary school.
The year of reading celebrations from summer 2019 to summer 2020 asks everyone in the city – teachers, parents and businesses – to play their part in helping children to develop a lifelong love of reading!
